THE NAME
The name ŠAKAL (Sha-kal) derives from the Croatian word for “jackal” — a hidden play on the first letters of both founders’ names.
ŠAKAL draws inspiration from the timeless silhouettes and distinguished fabrics of 1920s–1940s Britain, reimagined with a modern, contemporary edge. We craft everything from refined formal tailoring to relaxed workwear, offering bespoke pieces for both men and women.

OUR JOURNEY
Founded in the heart of Jalan Besar, Sakal began as a humble atelier dedicated to bespoke tailoring grounded in precision, comfort and personal expression. What started as a small space serving a tight-knit circle of clients quickly grew through word of mouth, not just for our fits, but for the relationships we built.
As clientele expanded, so did ambition. The atelier relocated to Haji Lane, nestled in a shophouse where heritage meets modernity — a reflection of ŠAKAL’s own philosophy. Here, among the most colourful lane in Singapore, tradition is honoured but style is never stagnant.
